Galle Gladiators’ captain Shahid Afridi has returned from LPL 2020 to attend to his ailing daughter, who is hospitalized here in Karachi.

Allrounder took to twitter to announce his temporary departure from the Lanka Premier League, citing ‘personal emergency back home.’

Afridi also stated that he will join the league once the situation back home is stable.

The Lanka Premier League’s official twitter account later revealed that Shahid Afridi’s daughter has been hospitalized so he had to cut short the LPL session.

Upon his arrival in Hambantota, Boom Boom Afridi will have to undergo a short 3-day quarantine and get his Covid-19 test done. It has been stated that the former Pakistan captain had contracted the virus earlier, and his reports showed antibodies in his system.
