Qureshi went on to say that a ceasefire from Israel is possibility because of the mounting public pressure, and the pressure of public opinion on social media. He commented the truce is inevitable because “Israel is losing out.”
Golodryga, who was interviewing Qureshi about Israel’s massacre in Gaza, asked “What are their connections?”
To this, FM responded, “Deep pockets,” compelling Golodryga to ask, “What does that mean?”
“They’re very influential people,” the Minister replied. “I mean, they control media.”
After this remark, the CNN anchor completely deflected the conversation and blew his comment out of proportion.
Bianna totally disregarded the fact that Qureshi had nothing to say about Jews but only of Israel’s illegal occupation and injustices to the people in Gaza.
Twitterati were quick to call her out on her lack of judgment to teach her a thing or two about “anti-Semitic remark.”
One user defended Shah Mahmood Qureshi after his CNN interview, saying that in this day and age of social media, you can’t fool people anymore. They’re watching and understanding everything and you can’t feed them lies anymore.
He also prayed for the freedom of Palestine.
People were quick to react in telling CNN that the world is now becoming woke and feeding a certain narrative to them won’t work now.
“Times are changing,” they said.
