Saud Shakeel during an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan explained what went wrong in Australia where the Shan Masood led Pakistan lost all three Test matches and where Saud failed miserably as a middle-order batter.
Saud Shakeel Reflects Light On His Poor Show In Australia
Cricket Pakistan while quoting Saud wrote, “As a professional cricketer, you always strive to adapt to the conditions wherever you go and make an effort to perform. I couldn’t quickly adapt to the experience of playing on a drop-in pitch, and as a result, the performance did not come as expected. However, accordingly, I will try to make an effort in the future. When I go back to Australia on the next tour, I will try to make the best use of the experience I have gained,”
“We discuss and review a little bit after each tour. After the completion of every tour, we review how I could have performed better and what mistakes I made. I will prepare myself better in future. It’s not like I wasn’t doing all this before going to Australia; even before going there, I was preparing properly. But, it didn’t work.”
