Pakistan needs Shadab Khan to regain fitness and form prior to the T20 world cup owing to multiple reasons. For a start, wickets in the West Indies particularly, are expected to assist spinners. Shadab Khan has taken most T20 international wickets for Pakistan. Hence, there is no doubt that Pakistan requires Shadab to be in top form with the ball in hand during the event.

Moreover, Shadab besides being a good fielder is also a handy lower-order batter. His presence in the playing XI allows the green shirts the sort of balance that you need while entering an ICC tournament.

Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi are undoubtedly Pakistan’s finest new ball bowlers in the limited overs format. Hence, Pakistan needs Naseem to regain form and fitness ahead of the much-anticipated event otherwise, the green shirts might struggle to take early wickets.

Haris, Asif Ali etc. have failed to cement their place in Pakistan’s most troubled batting numbers of 4, 5 and 6. Hence, it is imperative for Pakistan to finalize and then back middle-order batters who they want to play during the event.
