The first #PAKvsSL Test is scheduled to be played on coming Sunday and so, here is a look at the likely playing XI that Babar Azam is expected to field during the opening game of the two-match series which is also part of the ICC World Test Championship.

Pakistan are expected to open the innings with regular Test openers i.e. Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique while Shan Masood is expected to play at number three. Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel and wicket-keeper batter Sarfaraz Ahmed are expected to follow next. Salman Agha is also expected to retain his position in the playing eleven.

Abrar Ahmed is expected to lead the spin-bowling department and receive assistance from Nouman Ali. Shaheen Afridi on the other hand is likely to make a comeback in Pakistan’s Test side following an injury last year. The pacer is expected to receive assistance from Naseem Shah.
