Sri Lanka is one place where because of humidity fast bowlers can get dehydrated very quickly. Babar Azam then must ensure that his premier pacers Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah are looked after properly and that their workload is managed throughout the tour. Pakistan must not aghast either of them particularly because the ICC ODI world cup is around the corner.

Babar Azam and company have a history of not choosing the right playing eleven especially, in the longer format of the game. We hope that the team’s think-tank has learned a lesson or two from the previous season and that they won’t repeat what is supposed to be a ridiculous mistake.

Pakistan’s batting line also has a history of collapsing at least in one innings of a Test match. Sri Lanka aren’t as good as they used to be and so hopefully, the Babar Azam led unit won’t embarrass itself by collapsing in front of a relatively weak side.
