Beloved film and television actor, Ali Ejaz passed away in Lahore today as a result of cardiac arrest. The actor was 77 years old.
While Ejaz sahib had scores of television and film roles to his credit, he is most fondly remembered for his role of a strict disciplinarian father in the 90’s hit TV sitcom, Khawaja & Son and the role of a forever agitated old man in the television serial, Parosi.

More recently, he had been actively involved in his philanthropic venture, Ali Ejaz Foundation. Among the charity’s most prominent works included the construction of 132 old homes in Punjab.
The news of Ejaz’s passing away was met with a wave of grief across the country with the fans of the late actor taking to social media to express their sense of loss.

Khawaja and sons was by far one of his best performances.. A legendary stage TV and film actor Ali Ejaz has passed away today. He was honoured with the prestigious Presidential Pride of Performance on August 14, 1993..
