Indian Twitter Floods With Questions After A U.S. Report Confirms That No PAF F-16 Was Downed

Since 27 February, the Narendra Modi led Indian government has been vehemently claiming that Indian Airforce (IAF) had shot down a Pakistani F-16 jet.

The opinion within India had been divided on this claim from the word go. However, the Indian government and some sections of its media had been quick to label those who questioned the authenticity of Modi’s claims as traitors.

However, earlier today – 37 days after the claim was made – a report published in U.S. magazine, Foreign Policy set the record straight.

Citing U.S. officials, Foreign Policy reported that a count of the Pakistani fighter jets confirmed that no PAF F-16 was downed.

Following the publication of this report, Indian Twitter quite literally exploded with tweets questioning the credibility of their own government.
