Given the importance of the event it is obviously difficult to remain focused on the game itself. Still, here is a list of three factors that play in favor of the home team.

3. Pakistan are Better Prepared

Pakistani cricketers have been preparing for a while for the tournament whereas the World XI has just had a few practice sessions together and thus, the fact allows Pakistan to start off as firm favorites.

2. Green Shirts Know the Conditions Better

Quite a few players from the World XI have never played in Pakistan. With PCB headquarter in Lahore, boys in green on the other hand not only play domestic matches but also train for most part of the year in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore owing to which they know the conditions like the back of their hand.

With the knowledge and ability to exploit the conditions better Pakistan despite being a young side are firm favorites to clinch the series.

1. World XIs Generally Struggle

The World XI includes some of the best cricketers in business however, it is obviously not as strong as it could have been simply because a lot of international cricketers might not have been ready and comfortable touring Pakistan at this point.

Some of the most formidable World XIs over the years have struggled because normally, eleven brilliant men on the field are of no use if they fail to gel as a team. The concern has already been voiced by Faf du Plessis who is leading the touring side.

The aforesaid factors put Pakistan in the driver’s seat however, victory or defeat matters little as the return of international cricket in the country is good enough a reason for the fans to remain jubilant and celebrate.
