When Malala Yousafzai had left the country unconscious almost six years ago, many wondered if she would ever return to Pakistan; most believed she would not.

However, Pakistan was in for a huge surprise this morning with the news of Malala’s arrival at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad.

Among Malala’s first engagements in Pakistan was a meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi at the PM’s Office.
