Multan Sultans thrashed Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL 6 final yesterday to clinch their maiden title and Twittersphere erupted in celebration.

Sultans were crowned the winners of the championship as they defeated Zalmi by 47 runs in the final at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
The champions scored a total of 206-4 (highest score in the history of PSL) thanks to the outstanding performances by Rilee Rossouw and Shoaib Maqsood. Zalmi on the other hand hardly managed to be a threat to Sultans as they needed a rate of more than 10 runs per over.

The partnership between Russow and Maqsood made way for Sultans’ victory as Zalmi chose to field after winning the toss.
As Multan Sultans grabbed their maiden title, the whole stadium lit up to mark the occasion. There was laughter, tears and a whole lot of celebration everywhere. Even the netizens, without a bias, took to the bird app to congratulate the first time champions.
