Names of Mohd. Rizwan, Imad Wasim and Mohd. Hafeez are being considered for the captaincy role during the New Zealand T20s following regular skipper Babar Azam’s injury and after doubts have emerged with regard to the fitness of vice-captain Shahdab Khan.

Mohd. Rizwan, Imad Wasim and Mohd. Hafeez Are Being Considered For The Captaincy Role
Mohd. Rizwan is the Test vice-captain and also lead Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to National T20 Cup title recently. So, it is no surprise that he is a strong candidate in case Shadab isn’t available.
Imad Wasim who lead Karachi Kings to the PSL title too is not far behind. Moreover, he also has prior experience of leading the green shirts at the international level.
Finally, Mohd. Hafeez owing to years of experience behind him is too being considered in case Shadab is unable to play.

Change In Opening Pair As Well
Following the thumb injury of skipper Babar Azam, it is certain that Pakistan will enter the T20 series with new opening pair. Reports in media suggest that Name of Mohd. Rizwan is being considered and hence, he then might be trusted to open alongside Abdullah Shafique.
