Mickey Arthur has asked Umar Akmal to “look in the mirror” after the middle-order batsman once again blamed the former Pakistan head coach of showing bias towards him.

During a recent interaction with the local media earlier in the week Umar had said, “Mickey Arthur had personal issues with me but the team management at that time did not raise a voice for me and they have been silent till today. However, Mickey Arthur later did admit that he used harsh words against me.

“I am among those rare cricketers of Pakistan who have been ignored at every turn. I had asked Imran Khan to recommend team management to send me at number three. Imran Khan himself asked Waqar Younis why I was not a part of the top-order. Waqar Younis was a legendary fast bowler but I could not understand him as a head coach.”

Mickey however, did not waste too much of time while responding to Umar’s allegations and responded by asking him to “look in the mirror.” He was perhaps referring to Umar’s poor performances and listless record during his tenure as Pakistan’s head coach.
