Mickey Arthur Opens Up On Rizwan’s Batting Position IN ODIs

Mickey Arthur while talking to a foreign sports journalist opened up on the ideal batting position of Mohd. Rizwan in ODIs and so, here is a look at what the team director had to say. It is worth mentioning here that during the recently concluded home series against the Kiwis, Rizwan expressed the desire to bat at the number four position.

Mickey Arthur Talks About The Batting Position That He Has In Mind For Mohd. Rizwan

Cricket Pakistan reported Mickey Arthur as saying, “We just need to explore a little bit more in terms of finding the exact and best position. It’s team first and Mohd. Rizwan second because Pakistan is all about putting the team first. So, first we analyze things and then we give him a clear role.”

“He’s a wonderful player; he’s matured. He’s a player who has matured incredibly since I left, and he’s world-class now. We just have to find the position where he is able to benefit us the most.”

Rizwan’s batting average at the number four position is 43.64 however, he was asked to bat at number five for most part of the ODI series against New Zealand.
