ISLAMABAD: Six Major Generals of the Pakistan Army were promoted to the rank of lieutenant general on Wednesday. The promotion’s approval was given in a promotion board meeting held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

After Asif Ghafoor was elevated to lieutenant general, Romanian music artist Akcent, Adrian Sina, congratulated him on the promotion. Six major generals were promoted to the rank of lieutenant general, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Babar Iftikhar.

Subsequent to reporting that his band would play in Lahore on November 24, 2019, at the Governor House, the artist had shared he couldn’t imagine anything better than to have a meet with Lt Gen Ghafoor.
The military’s representative had reacted to his tweet welcoming the artist to the workplace. “An incredible cup of tea is planned for my office,” he said.
