Pakistan’s former Cricket Captain, Javed Miandad, in a video message asked fellow nationals to join hands and collect funds to pay off IMF loans.
Javed Miandad took to social media saying, “If we don’t repay the loans of the organizations like the IMF, they will take our atomic bomb.”
He shared that he’ll open an international bank account in the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) registered under his name. He said that nobody except him will be allowed to operate the account and that the money deposited in his account will be used to pay off the loans Pakistan owes to the IMF.
I beg you to raise money so that our atomic bomb can be saved. If we don’t repay the loans of the organizations like the IMF, they will take our atomic bomb.
In the video, Miandad appealed to every Pakistani especially those residing abroad. He said those who had looted the nation should also donate generously to his campaign.

Ever since the video went viral on the internet, Miandad has been receiving a lot of criticism.
Charity begins at home, he’s reminded by many…
Because as he said in the video himself, no matter what the amount, people should donate every penny they can. Ummm…allow us to follow your lead, Miandad sahib!
If Pakistani Twitter has one thing, it’s an insanely savage sense of humour and Miandad literally begged to be at its receiving end! 😂
