Yasir Hussain,who recently got engaged to Iqra Aziz posted a cute picture of the couple on Instagram on Tuesday. While the picture was adorable on its own, it was the caption that specifically caught everyone’s attention.

He informed his followers that Iqra Aziz was offered a fairness cream ad but she declined even though the company offered loads of money to “spread negative complex in the society.”

He was all praise for his fiance and termed what she did as, “behtreen kaam.”

But Yasir just did not stop there. He went on to say that Iqra Aziz’s rejection of a fairness cream ad is a brave act, “juratmandana kaam.”

Yasir Hussain also left an important message in the end, saying that we should be content with the way God has created us.

This is not the first time a celebrity has spoken against fairness cream brands.

Nadil Jamil appeared on Samina Peerzada’s show “Speak Your Heart Out,” on YouTube which is sponsored by a fairness cream brand.

Clarifying her position later, Nadia had said that she had not known that the show was sponsored by the brand.

She turned to Twitter to inform her audience that she wanted to distance herself from the “heinously racist and demoralizing brand.” She wrote, “A woman’s dark skin is her beauty and she should wear it with extreme pride and love.”

Further, when Mansha Pasha’s face was photoshopped in another fairness cream ad, she had lashed out at the brand for using her to promote a product that she did not believe in.

“Why do people keep obsessing over color? Dark, tan, fair it’s all beautiful in its own way! It’s your thinking that’s all!”
