Prime Minister Imran Khan gave a speech yesterday urging Pakistanis to come out of their homes and protest for Kashmir as Kashmiris are “looking at Pakistan” for help.
PM Imran Khan termed India’s revoking of Kashmir’s special status as Modi’s “biggest mistake” and a “historical blunder.”
“When my government came into power, my first priority was to generate peace in the country. India and we share many problems; unemployment, inflation and climate change, etc…. we made many overtures for dialogue with India… “
He further said that he wanted peace in the South Asian region but India “looked for opportunities to term Pakistan as a terrorist state.”

Shama Junejo, a human rights activist termed Imran Khan’s speech as “emotional” and asked how would Kashmir be freed by holding protests every Friday?
Ayesha Siddiqua, a Pakistani author said that Imran Khan seemed desperate to draw attention to Kashmir crisis.
