#HassanAli Returns For Pakistan’s T20 Series in #Ireland & #England

#HassanAli and Haris Rauf were recalled in Pakistan’s squad for the tour of Ireland and England. Interestingly, Usama Mir who performed brilliantly during the last #PakvsNZ T20 was dropped. Surprisingly, batting all-rounder, Salman Ali Agha also found himself a place in the 18-member squad.

Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Irfan Khan Niazi, Iftikhar Ahmad, Usman Khan, Azam Khan (wk), Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Abbas Afridi, Abrar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, Salman Ali Agha.

Ireland vs Pakistan (Schedule)

• 10 May: First T20I in Dublin

• 12 May: Second T20I in Dublin

• 14 May: Third T20I in Dublin

Pakistan vs England (Schedule)

• May 22: First T20I in Leeds 

• May 25: Second T20I in Birmingham 

• May 28: Third T20I in Cardiff 

• May 30: Fourth T20I at The Oval, London

Selectors Explain the Reason For Dropping Usama Mir

While explaining the reason for dropping Usama, selector Abdul Razzaq said, “We already have Shadab and we don’t want to have similar type of bowlers. That is why we have selected Abrar Ahmed over Usama Mir. So now we have Shadab and a mystery spinner in Abrar.”

Wahab Riaz on the other hand while shedding light on Hassan’s inclusion said, “Hasan Ali was already in our plans for T20 World Cup 2024. He was playing county cricket as he was under a contract. He is a backup of Haris Rauf and we have told him that. If Haris gets fit before England series than he will be our first choice. If we feel Haris Rauf is not match fit then Hasan Ali will replace him.”
