Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed Ali Zafar as the ambassador to the Namal Knowledge City.

Namal Knowledge City is aimed to be a centre of academic excellence for the marginalised population residing in remote areas of the country.

During the first phase of its launch, the center will facilitate over 10,000 students. It is also said to be an environment friendly project and would have a state of the art green structure.

However, the decision to appoint Ali Zafar as the ambassador to Namal Knowledge City has gathered a huge amount of criticism.

The outrage comes after Ali Zafar’s alleged harassment case in the recent development of which nine people were booked for allegedly defaming the singer turned actor.

People were concerned to know what qualifies him to be a representative of an academic center.

And certainly the government could’ve avoided involving a controversial personality.
