Foreign Diplomatic Missions Extend Gratitude To Pakistan For Safely Evacuating Their Staff From Afghanistan

From EU to IMF and Australian Foreign Minister among other foreign diplomatic missions extended their heartfelt gratitude to Pakistan for its tremendous efforts in evacuating their staff from Afghanistan. They thanked our home country for its exceptional assistance in getting their staff out of the disruptive situation.

The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva tweeted to appreciate Pakistan in its efforts at every level that was “absolutely critical” to the evacuation of IMF’s staff and their families from Afghanistan. 

She even thanked PM Imran for providing help in “very difficult circumstances.”

Other than Georgieva, Australian Foreign Minister, Marise Payne, called up Pakistani FM, Shah Mahmood Qureshi to thank his country for facilitating the diplomatic staff’s secure evacuation from Afghanistan.

She even highlighted how it’s important for the global community to come together and assist support the people of Afghanistan. She even said that it is of utmost importance to facilitate the humanitarian cause and provide them economic relief.

Moreover, German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck lauded Pakistani authorities for “tremendous cooperation at Islamabad Airport” in safely moving German citizens and local staff from Afghanistan together with European mission staff.

It wouldn’t have been possible without Pakistan’s support, he tweeted.

Even European Union (EU) Ambassador to Pakistan, Androulla Kaminara requested Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) CEO, Arshad Malik, and Minister for Aviation, Ghulam Sarwar to arrange a special aircraft for transportation of the EU delegation and their dependents stuck in Kabul.
