First #PAKvsIRE T20 is scheduled to be played today and so, here is a look at the likely playing XI that the Babar Azam led dugout is expected to field. It is worth mentioning here that since Mohd. Amir received his visa late; he is unlikely to feature during the encounter today.

Skipper Babar Azam and Saim Ayub are expected to retain their place in the XI as regular openers while Rizwan is likely to return at the number three position. He is also expected to keep behind the stumps. Fakhar Zaman on the other hand is likely to bat at the number four position while all-rounders Shadab Khan, Salman Ali Agha and Imad Wasim are likely to bat at the number five, six and seven, respectively.

Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah are likely to lead the Pakistan’s pace attack again. Haris Rauf if fit, is also likely to play as the third seamer, otherwise, Abbas Afridi will be allowed another opportunity at the international level. Given Ireland’s lack of experience against spin bowling, mystery spinner, Abrar Ahmed is also expected to find a place.
