As the first leg of PSL 4 comes to an end, here is a look at emerging Pakistani cricketers who have managed to impress the audience.
While representing Lahore Qalandars, Haris Rauf has bowled brilliantly during the tournament, so far. He has bowled quick and with wonderful accuracy. If he can keep the good work going, there is no reason why the selectors would not want to consider him for the upcoming world cup where Pakistan will require services of a bowler of his kind who has the ability to bowl yorkers at pace.
Karachi Kings left-arm spinner Umer Khan has shown brilliant skills both with the ball and while fielding. The teenager for sure is a bright prospect for Pakistan and his services may be required in the near future particularly if Imad Wasim is not available for some reason.
Unlike the previous season, Lahore Qalandars have utilized the services of Sohail Akhtar as an opener and not as a middle-order batsman. The move seems to have worked for the franchise as the right-handed batsman has shown excellent hitting form in 2 out of the 3 games that he has played so far. The franchise then will really be hoping from him to keep up the good work.
