Thinking realistically, Pakistan should open with Fakhar Zaman and Sharjeel Khan. This because both left-handers are capable of scoring runs with the sort of strike rate that Mohd. Rizwan, it seems won’t be able to match on a regular basis.

Nevertheless, for the above said to happen either skipper Babar Azam or wicket-keeper Rizwan will have to make the sacrifice of batting at the number four position. Also, the think-tank will have to sit out Haider Ali who hasn’t really impressed too much in recent months.

Alternatively, Pakistan can also replace Haider Ali with Asif Ali. However, Asif too has a pretty ordinary record off-late and so, the move seems unlikely. Still, Misbah has done stranger things with the T20 side and absolutely “NOTHING” then can be ruled out.
