Babar Azam while talking to press explained that he was confident of lifting the #ICCODIWC trophy in India later in the year. Former chairman, Ramiz Raja however, has pointed out a weakness which the green shirts will have to overcome during the mega event.
Babar Azam Hopeful Of Lifting The #ICCODIWC Trophy
While talking to media after the fifth #PakvsNZ ODI Babar said, “Winning the series is great and so is achieving the number one ranking after which we are in a good position prior to the World Cup”. It is also worth mentioning here that owing to political reasons Pakistan might not go to India to participate in the ICC World Cup. Also worth noting is the fact that Pakistan could only hold onto the number one ODI team position for about 48 hours only.
Ramiz Raja Feels Pakistan Needs To Overcome A Major Weakness
On the other hand while talking on his You Tube channel Ramiz pointed out that, “Pakistan had a great chance to whitewash the series but that didn’t happen. We had a chance against England as well when we reached 3-2, but then they were able to beat us in the T20 series. Similarly, when we played Asia Cup, we lost a pool match and then subsequently lost the final against Sri Lanka. Pakistan cannot cash on major opportunities that come its way”.
