Imad Wasim expressed satisfaction with Pakistan’s ODI squad that was recently announced for the #AsiaCup23 and the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan. It is worth mentioning here the fact that all-rounder was talking to a You Tube channel and that despite good form, Imad hasn’t found a place in the country’s ODI squad for a while now.

While explaining his viewpoint with regard to his own inclusion and the ODI squad otherwise, Imad said, “If someone asks me about it, you can’t just call a person suddenly two days or three days before World Cup. There has to be clarity, and Mickey Arthur is that sort of a person and so, is Inzamam. They provide clarity. They call you to explain what’s going on. Also, obviously who wouldn’t want to play World Cup for Pakistan, like it’s an amazing thing. I have not retired from ODI cricket and so, if an opportunity comes my way, I’ll take it.”

“I just want the Pakistan team to win the World Cup and Asia Cup and the Afghanistan series. I am very happy with the team they have selected, and I look forward to watching the boys play because in ODIs, Pakistan has got a very strong team and they are favorites in my opinion, both in the Asia Cup and in the World Cup.”
