Former Pakistan medium fast bowler, Aaqib Javed in an interview with the Daily Express has asked chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja to resign from his post because of the change of government in Pakistan.

The Lahore Qalandars head coach while explaining his perspective said, “Considering the way he [Ramiz] supported Imran Khan, I think he should reign from his role. I think chances are bright that one of Najam Sethi or Zaka Ashraf will become next PCB Chairman. They both did a good job during their previous tenures.

“The PCB should first focus on making PSL a success before starting other projects. There are still a lot issues which need to be addressed with regards to PSL. Countries like Sri Lanka and India organize three-day cricket for youngsters. Meanwhile, grade cricket is given a lot of importance in Australia where kids play a lot of red-ball cricket. This helps them when they enter first-class cricket as they have already faced a lot of balls.”
