On Wednesday, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Digital Pakistan, Tania Aidrus took to Twitter to share her resignation letter.
Shortly after Aidrus, SAPM on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza also announced that he was resigning from his post.
The resignations come as both the opposition and the public, have been lambasting the incumbent government after the asset declaration by Imran Khan’s cabinet revealed dual nationalities of 20 advisers and SAPMs.
While both of Imran Khan’s aides have maintained the reason behind their resignation is the negative criticism towards the government for holding dual nationalities, many believe that this is just an excuse, especially in Aidrus’ case.
Here are 4 conspiracy theories that have been doing rounds on social media after Tania Aidrus tweeted her resignation letter!
1. The decision to give up her post wasn’t a choice but was asked for!
2. As per reports, Aidrus’ appointment was facilitated by Jahangir Khan Tareen. After the sugar crisis report, Tareen and the PM are no longer on talking terms. And now people can’t help but draw links to the rift between the two and Tania Aidrus’ resignation.
