After the 1st Test victory, while talking to journalists in Sri Lanka, Babar Azam gave credit to the entire team. So, here is a look at what the Pakistan captain had to say particularly with regards to Rizwan’s inclusion in the second and last Test of the two-match series that begins on July 24, 2023.

While addressing a post-match press conference Babar said, “The credit goes to the team and their hard work, as every player is stepping up and making their performance count. Our focus is on improving as a team in every series.”

While responding to a question about Rizwan’s future in the Test squad on the other hand Babar said, “We try to play with the best possible playing XI. He [Rizwan] is also our main player but we try to play with the best possible playing XI according to the conditions. (Still), we are not (here) to decide anyone’s career.”

It is worth mentioning here that yesterday’s victory was Pakistan’s first in the last 365 days of Test cricket!
