Many found the match to be a befitting reply to those who want to see women confined to the four walls of their homes.

Needless to say, a lot of credit goes to the organizers of the Super Kabaddi League who organized this exhibition match to give mileage to female athletes.

This especially demands respect because women in sports are unfortunately not given due acknowledgement at par with their male counterparts.
Sports like badminton & tennis already had huge female stars, so their leagues showcased them but it’s fantastic that @Super_Kabaddi is going the extra step & creating leagues even where no female star power exists. Full credit to the vision of the organisers. #WomenInKabaddi

The Masood sisters, Laiba and Hamda, it seems are already stars.
For those of you who might not know, Laiba and Hamda Masood are multi-sports athletes who have a story similar to the Indian Phogat sisters. The girls took up sports after encouragement from their father, Rai Masood Kharal.
Three cheers for supportive fathers!
Meet Rai Masood Kharal and his daughters Hamda and Laiba Masood, both Kabaddi players. The story of Masood sisters reminds me the story of India’s Phogat sisters. Hats off to parents who encourage their daughters for sports.#WomenInKabaddi pic.twitter.com/ECxpeVB4mg
