PCB last year announced #ShaheenAfridi as Pakistan’s T20 captain however, it won’t be a surprise for us if Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decides to remove him after one series only that was played in New Zealand and during which the men in green lost 4-1.
So, here is a look at three reasons why we feel Afridi is in danger of losing the prestigious position.

#ShaheenAfridi Not In Top Form
Since his return from injury, Shaheen Afridi’s overall performance as a bowler is not the same anymore. At the international level he hasn’t really won matches for Pakistan and so, the likes of former captain Babar Azam and Mohd. Rizwan seem better choices at the moment to lead the dugout.

A Poor Captaincy Record
Afridi’s recent captaincy record both at the international level and during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been horrific to say the least. Commentators and fans have constantly blamed him for making questionable decisions in the middle and so, it is just natural that people who matter in PCB must have taken a note of it.

Change In Management
There is a change in PCB’s top management yet again and so, it won’t surprise us if they decide to introduce a new policy in which Afridi might or might not fit in as the team’s skipper.
So, at best Afridi might lead Pakistan during the home series against the Kiwis but another bad series is almost certain to result in his dismissal.
