The deteriorating health of Nawaz Sharif owing to low platelet count has raised serious concerns among PML-N supporters.

The former Premier’s blood platelet count fell to a life-threatening level of 7,000. A normal platelet count ranges from 150,000 to 350,000.

Nawaz Sharif received transfusions of platelets at Services Hospital on 22 October. However, his condition again worsened the next day to the point that Maryam Nazwaz was rushed to the hospital from Kot Lakhpat Jail after the Punjab Home Department granted her permission to meet her father.

It is important to mention here that Maryam Nawaz’s request to visit her ailing father was turned down by an accountability court earlier on 23 October. She appeared before the accountability court in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.

Maryam Nawaz also got ill

After meeting her father, Maryam Nawaz also got ill and is given a VVIP-1room adjacent to the room of her father.

After the news of Nawaz Sharif’s health went viral, Pakistani Twitter was full of prayers for his speedy recovery.

Some even went as far as saying that Nawaz Sharif was poisoned by the government.

As expected PTI and PML-N supporters clashed on Nawaz Sharif on Twitter.

Pakistanis also called for arrangement to move Nawaz Sharif abroad.

Pakistani journalist, Meher Bokari tweeted that she asked Imran Khan about the blame of Sharif’s health being placed on him.

“Am I the doctor? Am I the court? How am I being blamed for this?” replied Khan to Meher Bokhari’s question.
