Tom Moody Praises Babar Azam; Compares Him With Virat Kohli

While comparing Babar Azam with Virat Kohli, the former Australian cricketer and international coach i.e. Tom Moody praised the Pakistani batsman during The Pitch Side Experts Podcast. So, here is what he had to say.

Tom Moody Compares The Two Batsmen

The former all-rounder while making a comparison between the two batsmen from the sub-continent said, “He [Babar Azam] has emerged over the last year or so into something that is going to be so special. We talked about how Virat Kohli is so good on the eye as a batsman. If you think Virat Kohli is good to watch, have a look at Babar Azam bat. My gosh, he is something special.”

Too Early To Have Him In the Top 5

The 54 year old however feels that it is still too early to have Babar Azam in the top 5 batsmen in the world and hence, the Pakistani T20 skipper he feels requires more time to match up with the likes of Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli and Steve Smith.

Babar Azam To Be Among The Top 5 Soon

While commenting further on the topic Tom Moody said, “I think in the next five to ten years, he will definitely be in your top five [batsmen of the decade] without a question.”
