This Is Why Fawad Chaudhry Slapped Mubasher Lucman At A Wedding Ceremony!

Fawad Chaudhry slapped Mubasher Lucman at the wedding ceremony of Punjab Irrigation Minister, Mohsin Leghari’s son.

According to the details, the incident happened when the federal minister and the anchorperson got involved in a heated argument.

Fawad Chaudhry lost his temper because Mubasher had recently invited Rai Saqib Kharal on his show who claimed that the minister had close links with TikTok star Hareem Shah.

Fawad Chaudhry acknowledged the incident in a strongly worded tweet.

Later, on the show Naya Pakistan, Fawad said “I am a minister but that doesn’t mean my respect can be allowed to be tarnished like this.”

This is not the first time that Fawad has slapped a journalist. Earlier, in June last year, he had slapped Sami Ibrahim and upon being asked whether it was an issue of poor impulse control, he had said:

“Others criticize too. But Ibrahim and Luqman, can you honestly say they are journalists? They are all in the professional incidentally.”

Mubasher Lucman has filed an application against Fawad Chaudhry in Lahore Model Town police station alleging that he was subjected to torture.

People are calling out Fawad Chaudhry for his behaviour.

Whatever the reason may be, physical violence should never be the answer to show one’s disapproval. And Fawad Chaudhry getting physical to sort this matter out is definitely not OK. Let’s hope senior politicians and media personnel play their role to settle the issue between the two.
