Pakistani politicians are full of vitriol and are outrageous during the campaigns for the upcoming GB election. With so much going on in the political realm, the political leaders have seemingly lost grip on their tongues. This isn’t something new, but things got serious when some party leaders gave some harsh statements amidst the election campaigns.

Here are five comments that will make you facepalm:

1. Ali Amin Gandapur take #1

The Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Ali Amin Gandapur came under fire for his sexist statement against Maryam Nawaz during the GB election campaigns. He said and we quote:

She is beautiful honestly, but you should know this too that during Nawaz’s two tenures, she spent millions of rupees on surgeries, and that too from your ‘tax’ money. To fix herself. This is all your money.

2. Maryam Nawaz

PML-N leaders often receive flak for their disgraceful comments, still they don’t shy away from speaking their minds. In her back to back clash with opposing party leaders, Maryam Nawaz accused the first lady of witchcraft and wizardry.

3.Hina Parvez Butt

Personal attack is the most beloved form of attack for Pakistani politicians. From sexist slurs to commenting on someone’s weight and accent to whatnot, our politicians love making things dirty. Member parliament PML-N, Ms. Hina Parvez Butt, turned to her Twitter account to make some rather distasteful statements against PM Imran Khan.

4. Gandapur take #2

Yes, things did not stop right there for Mr. Ali Amin Gandapur. Along with his sexist remarks for Maryam Nawaz, he humiliated Bilawal Bhutto too during GB election campaigns. He accused him for not being an “aadmi.” Bilawal has often been questioned for his masculinity by various politicians on various occasions, and this time Mr. Gandapur was the one to take part in this unending cycle of sexism.

5. Shibli Faraz

Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting took to twitter to explain how the talks between Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto signify their ”defeat” already. The statements during the election campaign are not coming in slow.
