Fakhar Zaman could only score 19 while his opening partner Imam-ul-Haq was dismissed for 23. Shan Masood stayed on the wicket for a little while and was sent back for 41. Haris Sohail, Asad Shafiq and Sarfaraz Ahmed were dismissed for 4, 0 and 7 respectively. Thus, other than Azhar and Babar no one else was really able to make use of the opportunity which from Pakistan’s perspective is obviously disappointing.

Pakistan bowled 12 overs before the day’s play came to an end. All Pakistani bowlers i.e. Mohd. Amir, Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf and Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled during the final moments of the day. They were all expensive again which quite clearly shows that the personnel in the bowling department are still rusty and have a race against time to get acclimatized with the conditions before the first Test starts next week.
