Rested Bowlers Were Missed
All three rested bowlers i.e. Shaheen Afridi, Hassan Ali and Shadab Khan have been missed in the series, so far. None of the backups have really lived up to the expectation and hence, the green shirts have failed completely to penetrate both with the new and the old ball.

Not Enough Runs
Pakistan’s batsmen in both games could only manage around 280 runs on wickets where par total for sure, was somewhere around 310 to 325 runs. Hence, there is no way the batting department can be allowed to run away without sharing the blame.

Rizwan, Haris and Hasnain Impress
For once Mohd. Rizwan was able to live up to the expectations. His first century at the international level then will hopefully, give him enough confidence to produce similar performances in the days to come as well.
Haris Sohail too has managed a successful comeback. He too has managed a wonderful century in the series. Moreover, he also looked disciplined with the ball.
Mohd. Hasnain despite not taking wickets was pretty impressive with his pace and thus, he most definitely has the potential of becoming a future star.

Malik Fails To Inspire Yet Again
Shoaib Malik the captain once more failed to inspire positive results and therefore, it is just fair to say that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made a huge mistake by not appointing someone young to lead in Sarfraz’s absence.

Australia Will Be A Handful In The World Cup
After beating India in India and now being on the verge of another series victory in alien conditions; Australia have shown the ability to win and hence, it seems that the defending champions will be a handful even if David Warner and Steven Smith for any given reason are not able to play the next world cup.
