Tahira Abdullah Schools Khalil Ur Rehman On Feminism & YAAAS Queen

Mere Paas Tum Ho writer, Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, was slammed by Pakistani human rights activist, Tahira Abdullah for his problematic views about feminism in a show on Samaa TV on Sunday evening.

Owais Tauheed was also present on the show who sided with Ms. Abdullah to call Qamar out on his controversial dialogues in his recent drama serial, Mere Paas Tum Ho, that have become the talk of the town.

Tahira Abdullah brilliantly explained the real definition of feminism for the benefit of Khalil ur Rehman Qamar and the audience.

Despite Tahira making it clear several times that “women don’t need mansplaining,” Khalil ur Rehman continued to claim that “women don’t know what their rights are.”

“When you get out on the streets with these placards, you are asking men for rights. You don’t know what your rights are, you want to take rights away from men for yourself and that’s not going to happen. I hate the fact that [feminists] talk about men with such disdain, I’m the biggest feminist of Pakistan!”

Owais Tauheed said that women are complete beings without being referred to any other relation. He said, “Is there no other identity for women besides being a mother, daughter, wife or sister, does she not have an identity of her own?”

The Pyarey Afzal writer maintained that he is the biggest advocate of women rights and the biggest feminist in Pakistan. He further said that his dramas are the perfect reflection of “strong women.”

Khalil ur Rehman is once again facing severe backlash over this interview and his disturbing views.
