7 Pakistani cricketers are likely to face the selector’s axe after the #T20WorldCup and so, here is a look at who they are and why they are in trouble. It is also worth mentioning here that Pakistan were eliminated from the first round of the recently concluded ICC event.

#T20WorldCup turned out be a complete disaster for young cricketers like Azam Khan, Usman Khan and Saim Ayub. All three of them are likely to be dropped from Pakistan’s next T20 series.

Mohd. Amir performed reasonably well for most part of the tournament. Nevertheless, the age he is in, the selectors might want to prepare a young player ahead of him for the next world cup. Imad Wasim and Iftikhar Ahmed on the other hand, weren’t impressive and so, there is a good probability of both of them losing their place for good in Pakistan’s T20 squad.

All-rounder, Shadab Khan has been seriously out of form for a while now. Hence, he is likely to face the selector’s axe for a considerable period of time. It is almost certain that the 25-year-old will have to go back and perform big at the domestic level to reclaim his lost place in the Pakistan team.
