Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been a regular part of Pakistan’s playing XI across formats. With the T20 world cup only a few months away, Pakistan’s think-tank must rest the left-arm pacer and instead give a proper opportunity to Mohd. Hasnain during the three match rubber.

Mohd. Rizwan is now a key player for men in green in all three formats. The wicket-keeper nevertheless has been on the road without much break since the later part of 2019. Hence, it is about time that Misbah-ul-Haq and company rest him and play the under utilized Sarfaraz Ahmed a little more during the upcoming series.

#PAKVZIM: Skipper Babar Should Sit Out For At Least One Game

Skipper Babar Azam for obvious reasons is not only an integral part of Pakistan’s dressing room in all three formats but is also a key player for a lot of other franchises world-wide. The team management to avoid fatigue then must rest Babar for at least one game during the series and may be even bat him lower down the order in all other games.

Resting Babar and Rizwan together will also allow the green shirts to test some of their other players like Fakhar Zaman and Sharjeel Khan. This then will provide an opportunity to try different playing combinations well before the ICC T20 world cup.
