The three match #PakvsWI ODI series is scheduled to begin from coming Wednesday and so, here is a look at Pakistan’s possible playing XI for the opening encounter.

Pakistan is likely to enter the contest with its regular openers in the format i.e. Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman while the country’s skipper across formats, Babar Azam is expected to bat at his regular one down position.

Middle-order

Pakistan’s middle-order has been a source of concern since long. Pakistan then are likely to give an extended run to both Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdil Shah during the series while hoping that the consistency in selection allows the duo to show form against a comparatively weak West Indies side. Wicket-keeper batsman Mohd. Rizwan despite poor ODI form is also expected to play the entire series and bat somewhere from number four to six in the middle-order.

Bowling All-rounders

Shadab Khan, Mohd. Nawaz and Hasan Ali are also expected to be play the entire series as Pakistan’s bowling all-rounders. Additionally, Shadab and Nawaz after recovering from injuries are also expected to lead the spin department.

Pacers Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf are almost set to lead the country’s pace attack alongside Hasan Ali. Nevertheless, Pakistan might rest Shaheen and play Mohd. Wasim instead.
