Haris Rauf & Asif Ali Lead Pakistan To Victory During The #PakvsNZ Contest

Haris Rauf and Asif Ali starred in a close game that Pakistan won by 5 wickets. Haris took four wickets for 22 runs only in his four overs while Asif Ali brought an under pressure Pakistan team back in the game by scoring a quick fire 25 runs of only 12 balls. Pakistan hence, chased down New Zealand’s 134 in less than 19 overs to register another famous victory in the ongoing event. It is also worth mentioning here that both cricketers were under massive pressure to perform as their selection was criticized on various forums prior to the start of the tournament.

Haris Opens Up After The Famous Win

Following the game, a very happy Haris Rauf while praising his team’s performance and his franchise i.e. Lahore Qalandars said, “I want to thank Allah. The team fielded very well and supported the bowlers. The fans supported us throughout and helped us to this win. I’ve been playing here for two years. We support each other and discuss our plans with each other. That gives us confidence and support. Guptill’s dismissal was the key one. They were building momentum at that time. I just want to thank Lahore Qalandars, too, who supported me a lot. They’re the reason I’m here.”
