Pakistan are likely to stick with openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq while skipper, Babar Azam and wicket-keeper batsman, Mohd. Rizwan are expected to bat at the crucial number three and four positions.

Pakistan are likely to retain Saud Shakeel and Asif Ali for the number five and six spots. Now because owing to injuries both Mohd. Nawaz and Shadab Khan are not available and because Imad Wasim wasn’t picked for the series; it is likely that Pakistan will either select Iftikhar Ahmed or Khushdil Shah to fill the vacant number seven position. Nevertheless, the green shirts might as well opt for all-rounder in Mohd. Wasim i.e. if conditions allow them to play an additional fast bowler.

Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf are expected to lead Pakistan’s fast bowling attack while Usman Qadir seems as an obvious choice to lead the country’s spin bowling attack. Nevertheless, Pakistan might as well play Zahid Mehmood in place of one of the all-rounders in which case Iftikhar and Khushdil are likely to miss out.
