#PakvsAus Test series ended today with Australia winning it 1-nil and so, here is a look at 3 reasons why the Aussie boys deserved the victory.
#PakvsAus: Australia Were Brave
The Australian team played the entire series with a purpose. They were brave, they wanted to win, they were hungry and so, they planned and executed their strategies accordingly. Pakistan on the other hand played defensive cricket. The green shirts looked to survive for most part and hence, it is no surprise that after playing the three Test match series with a negative frame of mind, they eventually lost.
Better Reverse Swing And Spin Bowlers
It was evident from the word go that Pakistani team did not have the man power that could have made use of home conditions. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins e.g. extracted reverse swing much better than Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali and Naseem Shah. Similarly, Nathan Lyon alone seemed well ahead of both Pakistani spinners i.e. Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan.
A Much Better Team Than Pakistan
Australians were well ahead of the Pakistani side throughout the series. Their physical and mental fitness was exemplary. Their batters were able to rotate the strike better and hence, keep the score board ticking. Their fast bowlers had more pace and knew the art of of reverse swing much better than the green shirts. The spinners on the other hand too tested the Pakistani batters on a regular basis.
