Misbah Favorite To Takeover Key Positions
Media reports suggest that PCB is likely to announce a new model under which the same person will hold the important posts of chief selector and head coach. Misbah-ul-Haq’s appointment as the camp commandant then suggests clearly that he is the favorite to take over the key positions. However, a last minute decision from PCB to opt for a foreign coach might make way for things happening differently. Nevertheless, Misbah is still likely to be involved with Pakistan cricket in an important role.

Still No Sign Of Fawad Alam
The set-up might have changed but Fawad Alam’s name is still no where to be seen in Pakistan’s pre-season training camp. Alam then is likely to suffer injustice regardless of whoever takes over and that too when Pakistan’s Test cricket is for sure, in need of a batsman like him.

Zafar Gohar Might Make A Comeback
Left-arm spinner Zafar Gohar has played under Misbah while the latter was still leading Islamabad United. Hence, his name in the camp comes down as no surprise and the 24 year old then might be in the scheme of things when Pakistan play Sri Lanka for a Test series next.
