Today marks the completion of the first 100 days of the PTI government. As expected, while the government is busy projecting its achievements during this time period, the opposition has gone on an overdrive to remind Pakistanis of all the promises that Imran Khan and his cabinet could not keep. The opposition’s efforts seem to be reaping dividends as #100Days100Uturns has been the top Twitter trend in Pakistan since the wee hours of the morning.

One can’t entirely blame the opposition for this un-parliamentary hashtag as Prime Minister Imran Khan walked right into this one when he and his ministers launched into the benefits of u-turns some ten days ago. By any standard, defending his u-turns and rallying his cabinet to defend his remarks was a rookie mistake and it was only natural to give birth to unflattering hashtag campaigns.
Of course, leading the discussion over Khan’s u-turns are various faces from the opposition…
We didn’t come from cricket fields so we didn’t mock security of PM even under NS. We also never sympathised with terrorists.PTI termed it as VIP movement.Same with use of PM plane & use of commercial flights on official visits.. u know where this tweet is going #100Days100Uturns

Poor homes bulldozed, livelihoods destroyed, thousands out of jobs all under anti encroachment but Bani Gala still stands. Notices to oblige or an alternative should have been provided. Photos of shop remains are 💔. No new 10 million jobs just more unemployment #100Days100UTurns

On social media and controlled media #PTI100Days will be declared as an achievement despite of #100Days100Uturns. The influencing elite and upper middle class (20% of Pakistan) will say it’s all good. It is the remaining 80% who need to be inquired about tabdeeli in their lives.

Jibs are being taken at PTI leadership as a whole and the party’s inability to stand by its own proclamations.
Only thing which PTI Govt has done in 100 days, has established "Ministry of U-Turns" to justify U-Turns of Puppet Prime Minister. #100Days100Uturns pic.twitter.com/C7nqY0x5GV

Inflation has certainly sky-rocketed in the last few months and Twitterati are taking the 100-day mark to remind the Prime Minister of the impact that its had on their pockets.

People, even PTI voters seem to be disappointed with the party’s performance in its first 100 days.
Not a single piece of legislation in first 100 days, not a single looted penny recovered from abroad, inflation rate is record high, U-Turn on IMF bailout, U-TURN on electricity and gas prices. U-turn on U-Turn sums up first 100 days #100Days100Uturns

These tweets are a reminder of the fact that PTI is fast losing the appeal and public support that it enjoyed only a few months ago. At the same time, one also has to factor in the fact that PTI is not the first political party to backtrack on its promises. No political leader can claim to have lived up to the promises that she or he made while campaigning to come into power. However, it is precisely because of the betrayals that the people of Pakistan have suffered at the hands of other political actors that they seem so disheartened by PTI within three months.

Mr. Prime Minister, Pakistanis have seen u-turns in the past. The country voted for you in the hope of bringing to power a leader who would walk his talk and unless you don’t stop defending your u-turns and begin fulfilling your promises, it’s unlikely that Pakistan will stop trolling you with hashtags such as #100Days100Uturns.
