No Ladies, It’s NOT Alright To Grab & Grope Imran Ashraf Just Because He’s A Man!

In a recent video that went viral, Imran Ashraf a.k.a Bhola from Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was seen walking down the green carpet amid huge fanfare.

The moment Ashraf stepped onto the green carpet, fans who were waiting behind the barricades at a recently held award function went into immediate frenzy.

There were chants of “Mazay! Mazay!” – Ashraf’s iconic dialogue from Ranjha Ranjha Kardi.

Being the sweetheart that he is, Imran Ashraf did not just wave to his fans from afar but made it a point to walk up to them to shake hands and take selfies.

Up until this point everything was fine, however things got really awkward for the actor when a middle-aged woman first planted a kiss on his cheek and when he tried to walk away, grabbed him by his sherwani and held him tight for a selfie.

This behavior was once again repeated by other fans who kept grabbing the poor guy by his arm and holding him – virtually a hostage – until they got the desired frame for their selfies.

At one point, towards the end of the video, Imran Ashraf seemed visibly uncomfortable but held his calm like a pro!

In a time and age where there’s so much talk about respecting each other’s bodily integrity, it was a huge disappointment to see fans very clearly overstep their boundaries.

If grabbing, kissing and groping a female actress is not alright, the same rules must also apply to male celebrities, whose consent to be touched is every bit as important as that of their female counterparts.
