Australians had not lost a Test series against Pakistan for 20 years. Expecting an easy series and a similar result they arrived in UAE in the year 2014 to play against a Pakistani side that was still recovering from Saeed Ajmal’s ban.

Even local experts believed that the green shirts had no chance however, Younis left every one astonished as owing to his brilliant performance throughout the rubber, Pakistan was able to white wash a well-settled Australian line-up.

4. Double Hundred against England, 2016
Struggling for form Younis had struggled throughout the rubber in English conditions during the year 2016. His odd foot work invited criticism from different quarters and commentators began to wonder if the time was right for him to call it a day.

2. Leads Pakistan to World T20 Victory, 2009
Despite a major blow to its image owing to the aforesaid terrorist attack, only a few months later Pakistan under the leadership of Younis Khan bounced back to claim the World T20 title. Younis hence, remains the only captain who has led the country to a World T20 victory.
