Islamabad administration just sealed the premises of Monal restaurant for violating the law. The capital’s administration has registered an FIR against the restaurant for making an attempt to expand its area by cutting trees illegally.
Pakistanis took to Twitter to point out that the administration of Monal restaurant has been cutting trees illegally to facilitate its expansion plans.
The pictures of the affected area made way for plenty of criticism even before the concerned authorities had taken action.

Taking notice of the situation, DC Islamabad, Hamza Shafqaat sealed the premises of Monal restaurant and also registered an FIR.
Moreover, the Supreme Court (SC) has also ordered the Islamabad administration to halt the expansion of the restaurant.
Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed on Tuesday also directed to replant the trees that were cut-off.
Islamabad Chief Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed told that former CDA chairman Kamran Lashari had allowed Monal to be constructed in the national park.
Justice Ahmed clarified in his order that the Margalla Hills are a national park and heritage site. Therefore, no part of the area could be allotted for any commercial activity or a private residence.
He has further summoned the owners to appear in the next hearing after Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
Federal Minister of Climate Change, Malik Amin Aslam will initiate the plan of reforestation of the affected area.
