Pakistani singer Meesha Shafi refuted rumors of her wanting to date Pakistan team captain Babar Azam.
Chori Chori singer posted a story on her Instagram account slammed the fake news about her wish to date Karachi Kings star Babar Azam. Social media was abuzz when a fan-page of the cricketer called ‘babarazamfanarmy’ posted on the photo-sharing app, the caption of which read:
I always stick to the television when he is batting, and when he gets out, I switch my television off
The post added:
I would love to date him, I just love him.

Meesha Shafi Does Not Want To Date Babar Azam. They Are Rumors Everyone
Singer-model also tagged Instagram’s official account, requesting them to take down the post. Clarifying the fake news from her end, Meesha stated,
I have no idea who this is and why it exists,
She further added,
It makes zero sense, 100% concocted out of thin air. This quote is fabricated.
In a recent Tweet, the Coke Studio famed artist shared that the news is ‘fake’ and ‘concocted out of thin air.’ Responding to the continued allegations she shared,
This is a 100% fabricated, false and fake quote. I have received an apology from the Instagram page where this was first posted. And with this…. I consider this ridiculous matter closed!
The post has officially been removed from the page. Hopefully this matter will be put to rest and no more nonsense will be spread about this.
